ADInstruments CrawFly Educator Scholarship Application January 2024

ADInstruments is pleased to offer the CrawFly Educator Scholarship for January 2024. This scholarship is for present and future educators who want to learn how to implement exercises using invertebrates in neuroscience teaching laboratories. The objectives of this scholarship are:

▪ Increase the number and diversity of currently active and future educators who have access to state-­of-­the­ art neuroscience teaching laboratory techniques.
▪ Provide support for pre-­tenure neuroscientists to gain expertise teaching undergraduate neuroscience.

The scholarship will provide a $500 travel stipend and complimentary registration to ADInstruments' sponsored CrawFly Invertebrate Neurophysiology Workshop (jointly hosted by ADInstruments and University of the Incarnate Word).

Scholarship Award Details

All application materials must be submitted via this application form by the defined schedule below.

For the January 2024 CrawFly Invertebrate Neurophysiology Workshop:

All application materials must be submitted no later than November 24th, 2023 11:59 PM (MST). Incomplete and/or late applications will not be considered. Awards will be announced no later than December 4th, 2023.

Application Review Process
Completed applications will be reviewed by an independent panel of neuroscientists including course instructors. The selection of successful applicants will be administered by the Education Committee of the Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience (FUN).

Scholarship Essay:
Use this as an opportunity to introduce yourself, share your background/experiences, and discuss your motivations for attending the workshop. This is an open-ended area to share your individual and teaching goals.
